The Legal Translation and Consecutive Interpretation Office is one of Montréal’s oldest and most reputable translation offices. Since 1989, it has continuously provided certified, specialized, and legal translation services. With more than three decades of experience, the office is committed to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality translations in accordance with professional standards.

The office serves a broad range of clients, including individuals, businesses, private institutions, lawyers and law firms, government departments and agencies, courts, universities, educational institutions, health-care centres, and other official organizations.

The office is managed by Mr. Mohammad Reza NOUSHADJAMAL, a certified translator and member of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ). Since 1989, he has provided written translation and interpretation services in Persian, French, and English.

Certified translations prepared by the office bear the seal and signature of the certified translator. They may be submitted to government departments and agencies, universities, educational institutions, courts, law firms, banks, and other official authorities in Québec and throughout Canada.

Commissioner for Oaths and Signature Attestation Services in Québec

A Commissioner for Oaths in Québec is officially appointed by the Québec Ministry of Justice to administer oaths and receive solemn affirmations and declarations for certain documents. These services are generally required for administrative, immigration, tax, judicial, or insurance purposes.

1. Receiving and Administering Oaths

  • Administering oaths to individuals who must confirm the truthfulness of statements contained in official, legal, or judicial documents

  • Administering an official oath for documents that legally require a written sworn declaration, including certain immigration forms, tax documents, and official declarations

2. Receiving Affidavits and Solemn Declarations

  • Receiving and signing affidavits and solemn declarations intended for courts, immigration authorities, government departments, and other official organizations

  • Ensuring that the declarant understands the nature and content of the document and verifying their identity before signing

3. Verifying the Signatory’s Identity

  • Examining valid identification, including a passport, permanent resident card, or driver’s licence, to verify the individual’s identity

  • Confirming that the person signs the document voluntarily and without pressure or coercion

4. Presence and Supervision During the Signing of Official Documents

  • Being physically present when the document is signed and witnessing the signing process

  • Signing the document and affixing the Commissioner for Oaths’ official seal to confirm that it was signed in their presence

5. Receiving Sworn Declarations for Use in Canada
