Refugee Services

1. Initial Consultation and Assessment

2. Completion and Submission of Refugee Documents

• Preparation and completion of refugee forms, including Basis of Claim (BOC) forms, IRCC forms, and CBSA documents.

• Official submission and follow-up of documents with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

• Scheduling and completion of officially recognized medical examinations required by immigration authorities.

3. Legal and Residential Support During the Refugee Process

• Obtaining and renewing a Work Permit to allow legal employment in Canada.

• Issuance of a Brown Paper document as temporary proof of status.

• Guidance and access to social and support services (welfare), including housing and living expense assistance.

• Application for and issuance of a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to enable legal employment.

4. Preparation for Hearings and Evidence Presentation

• Full preparation of the applicant for the day of the hearing, including scenario review, practice answering questions, and collection of supporting documents.

• Accurate and professional translation of the refugee applicant’s statements for presentation to the CISR-IRB judge.

• Certified translation of supporting documents, including identity documents, evidence of persecution, support letters, and medical or political records.

5. Post-Initial Denial Services

• Assistance with Appeals or Judicial Reviews if the initial refugee claim is denied.

6. Support Until Permanent Residency

• Legal guidance and support throughout all stages of the case until permanent residency (PR) is obtained and the applicant’s legal status in Canada is secured.
